Achieving Flow
How often does it happen that we are in our own universe, doing what comes naturally. Achieving flow, a very literal term that when one reads it, they automatically understand what it means. But is it that easy to practice?

Achieving flow, is being so immersed in an activity, that you start to derive pleasure from it, from the sheer act of being able to continue it. This activity, keeps you engulfed in its beauty and contentment, that nothing else seems to catch your attention.
Staying focused is a tough ask. Even while writing this article, I have checked my phone thrice already. A new notification every time. And then, I ended up taking a couple of seconds to get back into my head space.
**damn it rang again** ( fun intended :P )
Anyway. Back to business. Here are some strategies or hacks that can help you achieve said focus.
- Knowing what to, makes all sense in the world. What is it that always catches your fancy?
- Knowing how to do it, step 2. I have a task in hand, now I need to figure out how to do it efficiently.
- Knowing how well you are doing it, isn’t it the best feeling in the world to live through the moment when you’re excelling at something?
- Knowing where to go ( where navigation is involved ), there maybe moments when you need to choose a path, each one of them leads you through a different set of experiences.
- Perceiving significant challenges, realize that through this journey there will be hardships, and getting over them is going to add to the glory.
- Perceiving significant skills, aha! My becoming is helping me realize my new potential and capabilities.
- Being free from distractions (I feel personally attacked with this one :P), the most important. Distractions pull you away in exchange for immediate gratification, but in the long run, that’s not what we are aiming at :)
Easier said than done, I know. But hey, one step at a time, right? Try to make a note of these ( I have all these jotted down on a white board, for me to read them at least once in a day), thereby training our brain to adapt them in our routine.
Until next time, stay safe and keep shining! :)
